SourceOne Partners Sponsors Florida Minority Business Development’s 2nd Annual Anniversary and Awards Dinner
On May 7, 2014, we sponsored the 2nd Annual Anniversary and Awards Dinner for an up-and-coming organization called the Florida Minority Business Development (FMBD). Its mission is to educate and support minority business owners to run their companies more efficiently and grow.
The awards dinner was held at the Sheraton Fort Lauderdale and featured keynote speaker Broward County Mayor Barbara Sharief. Following her speech was an awards presentation to recognize the outstanding members of the community who support minority businesses and aid in their growth and development. Other speakers included Emmanuel N. Okwor, President and CEO of the FMBD, Novia Bent, Chairperson, and Dr. Michael W. Gaffney, Professor at Nova Southeastern University. The Les Jazz Band provided the musical entertainment for the evening.
“We are excited to be a part of this burgeoning organization,” said Jeff Hecht, President of SourceOne Partners. “We look forward to a fruitful year with the Florida Minority Business Development, as well as next year’s anniversary awards dinner.”
