NCCI Proposes Workers Compensation Rate Increase in FL for 2012

The National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) has proposed a n increase of 8.9% to workers compensation rates for 2012 in Florida.  This rate filing was made with the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation.

Following several years of declining claims frequency.  2009 saw a spike in claims primarily due to the softening of the economy.

Florida would still have the lowest workers compensation rates in the Southeast United States.
